[ML Intern Application ]
WATER is a Biophysical Intelligence research company. Our mission is to teach matter to respond to life: we study how the human body and the physical world respond to each other, and we build machines that sense a body, model its state, and respond in real time. CAMA, an adaptive bed, and FLOW, an adaptive chair, are the first surfaces this research runs on. The work spans three research directions: machine learning and mathematics, bio research, and materials and electronics. The long-range outcomes we care about are human longevity and human experience.
You own one scoped research question for the length of the internship. You'll work on your own data pipeline, training and ablations, one reproduction from the literature, and a final write-up and presentation.
In This Role You Will
- -Own one scoped research question for the length of the internship.
- -Build your own data pipeline from raw sensor streams.
- -Train models, run ablations, and keep an experiment log someone else can follow.
- -Reproduce one relevant paper on our data and report honestly whether it transfers.
- -Present your work to the whole team at the end.
What We Hope You'll Bring
- -You have trained something end to end, on your own, because you wanted to know the answer.
- -Currently in or recently finished a B.Tech/M.Tech/MS in CS, EE, Maths or a related field.
- -Working PyTorch and Python.
- -Comfortable with linear algebra, probability and optimisation.
- -Available full-time, on-site in Hyderabad, for {6 months}.
- -Nice to have: a public repo, a preprint, or a blog post explaining something you figured out.
