WATER is a Biophysical Intelligence research company. Our mission is to teach matter to respond to life: we study how the human body and the physical world respond to each other, and we build machines that sense a body, model its state, and respond in real time. CAMA, an adaptive bed, and FLOW, an adaptive chair, are the first surfaces this research runs on. The work spans three research directions: machine learning and mathematics, bio research, and materials and electronics. The long-range outcomes we care about are human longevity and human experience.
You own one analysis question through to a written result. You'll work in the lab on study sessions, instrumentation, signal processing, and clean, documented datasets.
In This Role You Will
- -Help run human-subjects sessions: setup, instrumentation, participant handling, data capture.
- -Own one scoped analysis question through to a written result.
- -Process biomechanical or physiological signals and produce clean, documented datasets.
- -Read the relevant literature and brief the team on it.
- -Present your findings at the end of the internship.
What We Hope You'll Bring
- -You have handled real experimental data, including the part where it was messy.
- -Currently in or recently finished a degree in biomechanics, physiology, biomedical engineering, neuroscience or psychology.
- -Comfortable with Python or R and basic statistics.
- -Careful, methodical, and good with people — participants included.
- -Available full-time, on-site in Hyderabad, for {6 months}.
- -Nice to have: motion capture, EMG, EEG, ECG or pressure mapping exposure.
