WATER is a Biophysical Intelligence research company. Our mission is to teach matter to respond to life: we study how the human body and the physical world respond to each other, and we build machines that sense a body, model its state, and respond in real time. CAMA, an adaptive bed, and FLOW, an adaptive chair, are the first surfaces this research runs on. The work spans three research directions: machine learning and mathematics, bio research, and materials and electronics. The long-range outcomes we care about are human longevity and human experience.
You own boards from schematic to working hardware. You'll work on layout, component selection, bring-up, debugging, test fixtures, and production support.
In This Role You Will
- -Design schematics and complete PCB layouts for sensing, power and control boards.
- -Select components and maintain BOMs with real availability and lifecycle awareness.
- -Bring up new boards: power sequencing, rails, communication buses, first signs of life.
- -Debug with scope, logic analyser and multimeter, and document what you found.
- -Build test fixtures and run characterisation.
- -Support production — assembly documentation, test procedures, vendor queries.
- -Work alongside firmware engineers during bring-up.
What We Hope You'll Bring
- -You have designed a PCB, had it made, and got it working.
- -1–4 years in electronics design, or a project record that substitutes.
- -B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical or equivalent.
- -Comfortable in {Altium or KiCad}, schematic through layout.
- -Genuinely good on a bench. You reach for the scope before the forum.
- -Nice to have: analog or mixed-signal projects, motor drive experience, embedded exposure, competition team background.
