WATER is a Biophysical Intelligence research company. Our mission is to teach matter to respond to life: we study how the human body and the physical world respond to each other, and we build machines that sense a body, model its state, and respond in real time. CAMA, an adaptive bed, and FLOW, an adaptive chair, are the first surfaces this research runs on. The work spans three research directions: machine learning and mathematics, bio research, and materials and electronics. The long-range outcomes we care about are human longevity and human experience.
You own one board or test fixture. You'll work on the schematic, the layout, bring-up, and characterisation, and you'll debug the result yourself.
In This Role You Will
- -Own one scoped board or test fixture from schematic to working hardware.
- -Do your own layout and take it through review.
- -Bring the board up and debug it with proper instruments.
- -Build and run a characterisation setup, and write up the measurements.
- -Present what you built and what you learned.
What We Hope You'll Bring
- -You have built electronics outside of a lab course.
- -Currently in or recently finished a B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical or equivalent.
- -Working knowledge of {KiCad or Altium}.
- -You can read a datasheet, and you own a soldering iron.
- -Available full-time, on-site in Hyderabad, for {6 months}.
- -Nice to have: microcontroller projects, robotics club, anything you have built and blown up.
