WATER is a Biophysical Intelligence research company. Our mission is to teach matter to respond to life: we study how the human body and the physical world respond to each other, and we build machines that sense a body, model its state, and respond in real time. CAMA, an adaptive bed, and FLOW, an adaptive chair, are the first surfaces this research runs on. The work spans three research directions: machine learning and mathematics, bio research, and materials and electronics. The long-range outcomes we care about are human longevity and human experience.
You own one firmware module, such as a driver, a test harness, or a control routine. You'll work on peripheral bring-up, debugging with a scope and a debugger, and tooling the team keeps using.
In This Role You Will
- -Own one scoped firmware module — a driver, a test harness, a control routine.
- -Bring up a peripheral from the reference manual.
- -Debug with a scope and a debugger, properly.
- -Write bench tooling the team keeps using after you leave.
- -Present what you built.
What We Hope You'll Bring
- -You have programmed a microcontroller for something you wanted to exist.
- -Currently in or recently finished a B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, CS or equivalent.
- -Working C. You know what a register is.
- -You can read a datasheet without being intimidated by it.
- -Available full-time, on-site in Hyderabad, for {6 months}.
- -Nice to have: robotics club, competition team, personal hardware projects, any experience with motors.
